The flagship of the traditional weaving of the Djebel Amour, region of Aflou in the saharan Atlas, its grounds, as well as the two dominant colors (red, blue, indigo and dark) are iconic. Usually high wool, the entire surface of the mat is divided by diagonal lines, forming networks of diamonds nested in each other, it obeys the rule of the berber carpet that is always with geometric patterns and ever floral.
The reasons corners are called mekhleb or claws. It would be of symbols preventing evil spirits from entering the soil on which it is installed. The dimensions of the one shown, are smaller than traditionally, allows him to find his place in contemporary interiors.
